PRICE CHECK..CS9D
Looking to get a current price check on a CS9D. Has blueing wear from carrying but has a brand new grip from S&W. Located in north east (NJ) and have a friend interested in it?? From what I have found out the "D" model can bring a little more on the selling price.
Sorry about not posting pictures..just got around to it!!

I would expect $500-$600 for a functioning, good finish CS9. That is the best guess without pictures.

There was one listed on another forum over the weekend for $600.00. I was tempted, but having bought two guns in the past month, I passed.
Of course condition is a big factor when it comes to price.

I don't doubt that someone would pay a premium for a DAO model CS9. That said, the CS9s offered lately on the big auction site have been going for $500.00 +/- $25.

Does “blueing wear” indicate yours has the black finish?

That would be my price point. Plus if out of state shipping and FFL fees.

Would the stainless model bring more $$ over the blued CS9D?

Didn't know S&W offered a CS9D but just saw ladder13's image so they clearly exist. S&W offered so many variations of 3rd Gens it's mind boggling.
My Catalogs show all of the CS9c carbon blue (only made a year or so circa 1999-2000) and the first year or two of CS9s stainless came with NON-ambi safety/decocker. Later production starting in 2000 CS9s stainless came with AMBI controls on both sides. If you're RH and want a flatter pistol I believe the NON-ambi are slightly more desirable.

You wouldn't happen to have the product code of your stainless CS9D, I'm missing that number in the following thread:
The S&W Chief’s Special and a CS40 Quinfecta

Bought one last year. Very good condition, 2 mags, no box and paid about $500. It suddenly became worth a lot more when I installed TercGen grips...made all the difference.

Mine is currently wearing the KSD wood grips. They add a little girth which fits my mitt just right.
