Default Identification of a magazine, please

I once owned a 457, but I don't think this is a magazine for it. Can anybody tell me what model S&W this 8-round .45 magazine goes to?

It is a 4506 magazine. It will fit and work fine in the 645 but these with the plastic base were never shipped with any 645's. It's also the magazine that fits the 4566 and the Performance Center 845 Limited.

The 457 used a similar magazine that held one less round.

Thank you for that information.

I'm guessing that "AccuGlide" marking was reference to something different about the follower?

AccuGuide, not to be confused with any personal lubrication products.

That was something they did in the early 90's, maybe '92 or '93, I know that it has been explained far better than I will with this attempt, they patented the term and I think it may have to do with the vertical marks on either side just below and at the back of the feed lips. I know that the original 10mm magazines didn't have them (1990) and the later ones did, so that's how I point to early 90's as to the "when."

It wasn't made for it but it can be used in it.

It'll just stick out of the grip a bit & kills pocket carry.
