Hello, new to the forums.
I recently purchased a mint 645. Gun externally and internal showed Hardly any signs of use. I took it to the range last week and shot 100 rounds through it. During those rounds, every 2-5 shots I would experience a failure to extract. The empty casing would stay in the barrel and the upcoming round would impede on it, causing the upper slide to get stuck , nearly locking it. The extractor Spring has great tension and the tooth did not appear dull or broke. Upon the 2nd dismantling If I it, I noticed the ejector/ mag release lever was missing the spring that keeps it erect.With that discovery and installing a new spring for the ejector, I went ahead and ordered a new standard and 12lb recoil spring and pro-mag magazines. Went to the range today with new spring and mags in and experienced the same issue, however it was not a frequent (5-Empty mag). Im pleased with the problem being semi resolved but now Im curious what it could possible be. I just took the gun apart to clean and noticed the bottom Edge of the extractor tooth has a rounding to it. Ive tried finding picture to compare but no luck. Anyone have an insight to this issue?
