Default S&W 3953 Two Tone

I have found a two tone 3953. It is not the black slide with anodized frame. This one has a stainless slide and black frame. Is this an original configuration or maybe somebody had the frame Cerakoted? I really like the look regardless.

If the frame were stamped 3954 then it would be black originally from the factory. But a 3953 was the silver alloy frame.

I have a 3953 so I know about it; and yes, the 3954 is all black. The one I found is stamped 3953. I know some other 3rd gen pistols were stainless slide with black frame. There was a cs40 stainless with black frame posted for sale on another site. So maybe some 3953's were factory configured as this one. Some odd combinations were factory so maybe it is original. Would be a neat addition to a collection if original two tone.
