Just picked up a Model 46 5"(SN 23105) and have a probably stupid question. Are the Model 46 magazines the same as the Model 41 magazines. Will the new 41 mags fit the 46??

These 22 mags can be a little finicky. I have a 46 that uses 41 and 46
mags. But likes SV 22 ammo. If you want to get crazy, get a 41-A, 22 short. Fun to shoot after you get it sorted out. Have fun, no after market
mags.

I've let the moths out a few times, managed to double my collection since my avatar was taken....

The model 41 mags are the same as the model 46 mags of the same era.
Your gun would have come with the steel follower one price body type.
Any model 41 mag will fit a 46. Mags are backward compatible.
Not the same with other models using the model 41 mag, they need to have the newer mag types.
