Got this a few days ago from JHW, it’s a 7” M41 mid 70’s vintage. I’d been looking for a shooter grade 41 for a number of years actually and this one fit the bill. Read a lot about them, the quirks with magazines and ammo etc. but the journey’s the fun part!
I didn’t have any CCI Standard Velocity handy so I started with some Federal Semi Auto Target loads. After a few magazines to familiarize (I’d never even handled one) I moved back to 25 yards and free handed a few magazines. Considering I was more into just having fun shooting this new gun, I was very pleased with the results “out of the box”. Not a single FTF and the action is smooth as silk.
