Fairly decent shape when one considers how long ago it was made. Price is right in the ball park in my opinion for a used 39-2. Have a soft spot for this model as was my first back in 74. Price new was $125. Missed it and decided the CS-9 was the way to go to remedy the error of letting it go!

Good purchase. Had a 39 a couple different times in my youth. A couple years ago I found one locally in the original box with 3 magazines. 2-8 rounders and a 9 round from a newer single stack S&W 9mm. The seller said it worked fine in the 39 also. I have always like the way these guns look and feel in the hand.

I noticed one with 5 extra magazines and box sold for over $900 yesterday on GB (Item 874516942). A couple of the extra magazines were in sealed boxes, marked 3906/909, and S&W p/n 190580000. Someone else would have to confirm that these actually work correctly.

If I were going to shoot it, I would take one for $450 used and with no box anytime.

Assuming that those magazines are correct for the gun, they can be found for a decent price online, and since they are under 10 rounds, even on ebay, !
