Pic is a no show if you were trying to add one, but at 70% and 1 mag I'd offer 200.

$300? Yes! Check function carefully, of course, but the 908 is an excellent little 9.

The prices have soared lately. I don't know what 70% means w/o a pic, but if it shoots and is mechanically sound, it is worth $300 here. They are decent guns.

That's why I purchased an assortment of 908 parts from Midway USA several years ago, while they still had them, including: two mag release buttons, two recoil springs, and a sideplate.

Good planning!
If you could spare the button, I’ve got a 908 needs caracote.
I won’t pull it completely down unless I have one in hand

$300 for a functional 908 sounds good to me. These are part of the Value Line series and the finish will wear quicker on them, so I wouldn't get too caught up in how it looks. My thinking is that the well-worn guns make great carry pieces...
As far as parts go, they are still being made and offered for sale, for the most part. The one that you will have a hard time finding is a new Mag Catch Assembly - they don't make those anymore.
Midway has had the Mag Buttons in stock pretty regularly, and I see they are in stock now: Smith & Wesson Mag Release Nut S&W CS40C CS40D CS40S CS45C CS45D CS45S
Pick up a Mag Release Spring along with it: Smith & Wesson Mag Release Spring S&W CS40C CS40D CS40S CS45C CS45D
And of course, the most important part to install on a new 'used' gun, the recoil spring (I buy these by the handful): Smith & Wesson Recoil Spring S&W 3953TSW 3913 3914 3914DAO 3953 3954
Probably not a bad idea to get a spare 908 Recoil Guide Rod as well: Smith & Wesson Recoil Spring Guide Assembly S&W 908
After a new recoil spring, the most important thing to switch out on a 908 (IMO) are the plastic sights. They are cheap and can be easily shifted with a hard knock. I strongly recommend some Trijicon SA27 night sights, and I would also recommend that you have Trijicon install them on your slide. That wide front sight base can be a real demon to install yourself.
