Has anyone changed the grips out to wood?
Congrats on your find!

On the wooden Hogue grips, my 1006 had a set on it when I bought it at a gun show.

When I inspected it, before buying, the slide was unbelieveably hard to get back on because the levers couldn't be fully depressed, unlike normal.

I later found out it was because the drawbar was hitting the wooden grips (when the levers were depressed) because the grips were not properly clearanced when made.

With the slide off, just install one grip side & make sure the drawbar does not hit the wood when the levers are depressed.

I didn't like their feel & put some rubber Hogues on instead.

Hope you enjoy yours.
