Default Model 41, option 26?

I have a early 70's model 41 with original box. The box has 26 circled in the options section. Any idea what that is? Thanks.

Thats either an internal S&W control# of some kind or from the stocking dealer. There was no option 26.

Sorry, as I look again it is under "special features", not options, if that helps.

My guess it's a shop mark. It' was not written on the label by the factory when the label was filled out, it's different colour pen and different style of writing. I have a dozen or more boxed 41s and the shops do write on them.
