Local score on a pc 45 recon
Came across a 45 recon in it's original pc case with 2 mags and matching knife. Guy wanted 1k we settled at 500 and a 3913 nl I had. He really wanted the 3913 and I wasn't keen on letting it go. But in the end I can find another one. Does anyone know the production numbers for the 45?. Any idea on what it's worth?.. thanks for any help

I am EXTREMELY jealous of your score! Very nice find, my friend.

Yours appears to be from the third run of Recon 45s. . . . that one came with the knife
Mine is from the first run which is easy to spot as those were the only ones done in black
Someone will be along shortly with the production numbers. I do nto remember them off the top of my head

Jim's memory is good -- 603 is the number that's been determined from copies of Jinks letters about the 45 Recons. We know the total on 9 Recons also, and I'm still waiting for more responses to my thread about numbers on the 40 Recon, the only version still unaccounted for.
You asked about value on the gun you bought/traded into, and like all things, condition is going to make all the difference. Even if it's a well-kept shooter, though, I'd say your deal at $500 plus the 3913NL makes it a fair shake. Having the one with the matching knife is sweet. Nice pickup!
