the hood of one S&W 5906

I know you’re trying to get it concealable and snag-free, but be careful taking too much off of that slide stop. I find this to be the hardest to work of any slide stop I have experienced. YMMV

One of my favorite pistols ever has that device almost from the "get go".

And it's not just a "visual" thing. you will know there is a chambered round in a moonless night, in a coal cellar, with the lights out.
