Default 3913 mag question

Would a 7 rd CS9 or an 8 rd 3904 mag work in a 3913?

The 8 -round and later 9-round 3906/3904 mags do work in the 3913/3914 series guns. I use to carry a 9 round on my belt as a reload when I used the 3913 as my court gun early in my career. The 3906 mags stick out of the 3913 grip frame a little bit.

The 7-round CS9/early 3913TSW mags do not work. They do not lock in. BUT, there was a flush fitting 7-round 39XX series mag made. They came with the 3954 guns (one included along with a standard 8-round mag) and I am told some of the 3913LS guns shipped with them as well. Those mags are scarce though and for some reason bring scalpers prices here in the classifieds when they appear.

I don't know why as I can't understand why you would not just use a standard 8 round 3913 mag with a flat basepad and keep the extra round on tap. Hope this helps! Regards 18DAI

CS9 magazine is too short, will not lock into the receiver. 39/39-2/x39/39xx mags will work, but be careful to not over-insert them and they will stick out of the bottom of the receiver.

All three styles are for sale by the same person. Just curious cause the prices vary so much. Already have six for my 3913, but when is it too many
