CS45 Parts??
I have an older CS45 in nice shape except for springs and take down lever. S&W says parts are no longer available (takedown lever especially). Are any other model’s parts usable in the CS45? I can probably find after market springs but the take down lever has sent me on a CS45 takedown lever wild goose chase!

Slide stop (aka "Take Down") levers are all pretty much the same for all 2nd/3rd gen 45s and 10mms.
(Also CS40 and single stack 4013/4 and 4053 models i.e, all models built on the 45 frame)

Really? Tell that to the 3914NL slide stop I had to file on so the .40 bullets could feed in my 4040PD

Neither the 3914NL nor the 4040PD are 45 or 10mm caliber nor are they built on the 45 frame, as is the CS45 slide stop to which the OP alluded, so I'm not sure what filing on your small frame slide stop has to do with my post...
However, I'll be glad to tell your slide stop that, if that will make you happy.
But I think it already knows.

Unfortunately, that's pretty much par for the course with Numrich, their prices on most 3rd Gen parts have always been high. At least now they're actually listing parts as new or used.

I never really minded paying a little more for parts from Numrich but it’s getting worse receiving the right ones. I mean the parts that I’ve specifically requested for a reason. Unfortunately either their parts bins are totally mixed up or the parts pickers don’t have a clue.
I’m not complaining at all and you can send the wrong parts back but sometimes you also get the wrong part/style back in return.
Recently I’ve just been keeping what they sent and reordering again. But then again it took 8 weeks to get the last order and only one part was wrong so I guess I was happy.

As you found out, the slide stop assembly is unique to the 4040PD because it has a magazine follower (& butt plate) that's unique to the 4040PD only, as well as a handful of other parts.

Ya that’s true! It does work out though. Also I’m not posting anymore after drinking beers, because in my attempt at humor I completely missed the .45/10mm part of that comment and just sounded like an idiot

Sorry for the ribbing, Mercs.
I'm just jealous because I don't have a 4040PD, but wish I did!
