Wink Name that 3rd gen?

Howdy,

Was going threw some old photos before I was ever in love with S&W 3rds and came across this Gem, can't remember where I got it or screen shot it from.

What 3rd generation variant is this 5906? 4006? Muzzle looks shorter than usual?

Poor cover if you ask me

I'm not sure, the photo is difficult to make out any identifying marks. I see Lt. Porkins found a job in law enforcement after the Death Star run.

Yeah, too hard to tell. If ya wanna play the numbers game, it is most likely a 5906. Looks like a Novak rear sight.

I can't tell if that's an example of cover or concealment. Maybe both.

Chubby better not lower his right arm in the middle of a firefight. Have to change his name from Chubby to Lefty

By the trigger guard a late 3rd Gen probably a 5906. Obviously the smaller officer was not wearing body armor.

It's definitely a late production 3rd gen pistol, most like a 5906 as they were the hot item for law enforcement when that photo was taken.

Good use of cover by the backing officer, I suppose.

Speaking as a larger retired Police Office. We larger officers must stay and fight because we cannot run and we provide good cover for other officers. Prisoners stay in one place if we sit on them until they are cuffed. Its how much Heart you have in you not your body size
