I haven’t seen those. They look like a possible police or guard unit initials somewhere but that’s just a guess. Are there any other marks beside s&w s/n on it anywhere? Or maybe a set of alphanumeric numbers that would suggest a local inventory number?

Used gun, likely a trade in from agency or security company. Pretty common to see identifying marks such as that.

C.P.T.J.
C.P.T.J stands for "Cuerpo Tecnico de Policia Judicial" in spanish.
It was the national police in Venezuela, some sort of a FBI when it was a country...

Welcome to the forum!
The stamp on the slide is of the national coat of arms of Venezuela (undoubtedly, pre-socialist / communist era).
What you have is not very common, in my estimation. I tend to sit up and take notice any time I come across Venezuelan-marked firearms, as one who was born there in much better times. (My father was a "Petrolero," an oil man... chemical engineer, to be more precise.)
It is not too unusual to see "minty" Fabrique Nacionale Model 49s, especially here in Texas. I suspect many were brought back during the thriving economic era that the North Americans helped build and develop.
But, I honestly can't recall seeing many (or, any) examples like yours.
Please post another picture showing the detail of the Venezuelan Coat of Arms.
