Default CS40 -- Fair price??

I found a guy with a CS40 he wants to sell.

What would be a fair price these days?

Good condition shooter -- not a museum piece.

All stainless color, if that makes a difference.

I would go $400-450 if decent shape. Seems to be going rate for CS series in good condition. Seems 9MM and 45 often sell for more.

Sounds pretty good for that price. All-stainless would be worth a slight premium since the blued/black finish wasn't all that durable.

Recent GB sales show a blue CS40 selling for $410 while SS models sold for between $430 and $565. Several sold for over $500. Quality brought the bigger sales prices.

The estimated prices that everyone, (so far,) are spot on in my opinion.

Another important part is how many magazines it would come with. These CS40 mags are getting very expensive. I’ve been lucky in finding them in the last few months for good prices, (excellent and new condition under $50.00 received.) I’ve seen them offered and sold for way to much.

I don’t technically have a CS40, just a complete top end for my CS45, kinda like a “convertible” CS45/40. The only problem was getting the .40 magazines cause the CS40 top end I got only came with one. I’m all good there now though but not excessively hoarding.

Jim

I agree. CS40 magazine prices and availability would have to be a serious consideration these days. I finally managed to accumulate 4 over the last year or so, mostly by having alerts configured on the various auction sites. Most had "Buy it Now" prices and you can't hesitate or they will disappear.
