TIRED NIGHT SIGHTS ON M&P
Can anyone tell me if S&W offers any type of deal on relamping the night sights on their M&P line of pistols? I have heard Trijicon will relamp if you send the slide but these sights are not marked "Trijicon". Is it cheaper to just replace with TruGlo or the like, or does S&W offer assistance?
Thanks.

Contact S&W, and play dumb. The pistol should have a lifetime warranty. I know the sights shouldn't be covered, but see what they say. I have done this with both KelTec and Ruger. Both have covered stuff not under warranty, but have taken care of me anyway.
At a bare minimum, they can tell you who they sourced the night sights from.

Easiest way to tell Trijicon sights from others is to use a magnifying glass or jeweler's loupe to look for their tell tale white ring of silicone sealer around the lamp modules.

Since Tritium has a half life of 12.5 years.....any tritium based night sight will lose half it's brightness over that period of time. Has anyone ever had a company replace the tritium modules in theirs because they got dim???

Trijicon relamps night sights cheap. To my knowledge, S&W factory night sights are provided by Trijicon. My M&P 2.0 had boring 3 dot sights, but my 5906TSW has dead Trijicons and Trijicon relamped them for something cheap... $20 each maybe? I forget the exact amount but it was much better than buying new sights.
