experiencing double feeds on my model 39. replaced the magazines and it didnt work. i believe it is the extractor. so my question is does anyone know where i can get an extractor for a 1st gen model 39?

The long/wide extractors are hard to find. I would watch eBay for a slide with the extractor. That is where I got my last one.

You could try installing a new, OEM recoil spring, if you haven't already done so. A weak recoil spring can contribute to all sorts of problems, including feeding/extraction/ejection issues.
