Talking 4506 Prototype Magaiznes?

Has any one ever seen any of these? I assume there probably aren’t many of them out there. I just found them on the big auction site, $40 total for the pair so I bought them, figuring that’s pretty cheap for 45XX mags now, even if just for range use. I’ve just never seen anything like them before. Maybe if i replace the orange followers with black they’ll be as reliable as the updated mags....

No I’ve never seen anything like those but I don’t get out much.

What a most excellent find. Keep them as is. I think they are so unusual you just can’t “molest” them. Magazine collectors would love having them if you don’t care about them. If a magazine is PC marked even though there’s no difference with an identical non PC marked magazine, for some reason they sell for more.

Now “oldman10mm” has ANOTHER one to find.

Congratulations on an unusual find

I have no doubt that there are collectors out there would would happily double your money or more

I found this one rummaging through bargain boxes in a shop

Obviously it is a 5906 magazines body. You can tell from the witness holes, but it has a different follower than it's 9MM brothers

This is why you need to keep your eyes open . . . you never know what you might find

Interesting. They appear to have 4506 base plates, but second version 645 followers. For $40 it's hard to think you went wrong. I think maybe you picked up a couple of rare items.
