645/745 grips ???
Looking at some wood grips for sale that are listed for a 645.
I have a 745 and wonder if that is the same fit ?
Sadly no 645 in arms reach to compare.

645 and 745 are same fit. 745’s came with wood, 645 came with plastic. OEM wood 745 stocks do not have a S&W logo on them.
The biggest confusion I tend to see when a seller is offering grips and he doesn’t truly know is that he will often mark them 59/659/645/745 grips and THAT is not correct, the double stack 9mm and .45 cal grips are not alike.

Sevens covered it well. I will add that 59/x59 stocks will physically fit the 645/745, but are slightly shorter than 645/745 stocks.

Also worth knowing if you are a 645/745 owner... Pachmayr made a fantastic aftermarket set that was made for the 645 and (mostly) fits the 745. On the 745, the left side must be trimmed at the top rear to allow for the larger safety paddle that the 745 uses.
Thing is, it isn’t simply a rubber grip that you could trim with an X-Acto knife, it has a very serious steel liner so you will need some skilled dremel work.
The 745 safety isn’t a decocker, only a hammer block.

Sorry I’m late for input but I don’t have much extra time these days.
The S&W 645 wood grips I have are a bit different than my 745 ones. It doesn’t make a difference but there is a difference, at least with my examples. The 645 grips were S&W packaged but we all know how that goes.
The Pachmayr grips were from my first 645 that I “had” to sell to buy a snastie car. They are a really nice option but I like wood grips more.

Although I have seen Pachmayr grips that look like these pictured above, I have NEVER seen that style of Pachmayr made for the 645. Every set that I have ever seen (and I have three sets myself) were the style with the Pachmary medallion and lion. (I think it’s a lion?)

I have never seen 645 stocks with a curve along the back edge. To me, those Pachmayrs look like Model 39/39-2/x39 stocks.

Oops, that’s what I get trying to work 5-12’s and then posting anything here.
Not much an excuse but grips got mixed up in labeled bags. Can’t get anything by this bunch.
Thanks for correcting my stupid mistake.
