61-3.

What's the word on these? First semi-auto S&W I've ever had. Haven't shot it yet and only came with 1 magazine.

Thanks for looking!

I'd like to know more about these little Escorts as well. I've been intrigued by them for quite awhile now, but never actually "pulled the trigger" to add one to the collection. The only thing I have heard, incorrect or not I do not know, is that the -3 variants have the least amount of functioning hiccups.

I have a dash 3 as well - looks identical to yours.
The general consensus seems to be that they are a little ammo-picky, but that isn't unusual for any kind of 22lr semi-auto pistol. A lot of them are at least a little ammo-picky.
I like mine. It isn't for sale.

I have a few of them. They are well built and work well.I doubt I would ever carry it for PP but thats mainly because I own so many guns I consider "better".

Lol, that may be true, but not someone I would consider as the best example of good judgement, in the self defense category or otherwise.

Mike, let me know how it shoots. I just recently sold one, LNIB, and I had never shot it, (as it had nover been fired).

I've owned two! One ran really well with decent ammo (higher speed stuff like mini mags). The other couldn't make it through a magazine with any ammo. I love the unique still and the size is quite good for pocket carry. Minimal sights but for short distances they function just fine.

I realize now I saw one at the local gun show a month ago. Should have slowed down and looked harder.

I was tempted several times, but reports of their lack of reliability and the large number returned to S&W for replacement deterred me. Maybe more curio than shooter. Good luck with yours!

I disagree, Sport had it coming and Travis was the only one with the guts to give it to him.

Interesting first S&W semi-auto choice. You’ve fallen through the ice. It most likely won’t be your first, only and last one.

I got mine from a pawn shop for a stupid low price. I also heard about the performance problems but I thought I needed one for an example anyway.

I wasn’t disappointed cause it actually runs really good. Maybe it was broken in a bit or maybe I just got lucky with a good one. Regardless I’m happy to have it in my S&W collection. Kinda like having a High Standard Derringer in a H.S. collection or Colt JR in a Colt one.

I think that applies for Robert DeNiro also!
