Default PC1911 4.25 Recoil Spring lb.

Can anyone tell me what pound the recoil spring should be on my Performance Center 1911 Round butt with 4.25 barrel? Mine seems very heavy compared to other Commander Models I’ve owned. Could it be due to the slide cuts that it needs to have a heavier spring so the slide will close quicker?
Thanks

Should be the standard spring rate for a Commander length barrel, irregardless of the cuts.

1911 Commanders use an 18# recoil spring standard, per Wolff Gunsprings.

I contacted S&W and they sent me back that these models have a 20lb spring. I knew it was a lot harder to rack the slide. I believe the other Commanders I’ve owned we’re a 16 or 18.
