I have a Model 39 no dash original box and all paperwork. I see where the value is all over the place. Is there anyway to get a better idea on the real value? thanks for any help.

the serial number is 87259

My first step is to check Completed Auctions on Gun Broker. Listings mean less than nothing, but actual selling prices give a pretty good guide. Some will be bargains and some are artificially high due to some extrinsic factor, but on average, you’ll get a fairly accurate.

Hello OP, whats the finish? Extra steel mag? Appears from Sn. to be
late 1960s.
If NIB, you are in the low $1000 price range, on a good day. I mean NIB!

First, welcome to the S&W Forums.

Second, since you have the original box, papers, and tools, type of finish and condition will be everything when selling as a collector piece. Blue or nickel, factory original or refinished, how worn/scratched is the finish?
