Default 945-1 is back!

Many months ago 945s were selling like crazy on GB. I never managed to bid high enough to buy one. Many members gere did get one or 2 or..
Some may remember that I used to have a 945-1 in PC case that I foolishly sold in 2014.
Long story is.. I am reducing my inventory drastically and was looking at pricing on GB to get an idea of what things were going for. I stumbled upon this little guy.. it is 4 digits away from the one I sold in 2014. 945-1 3/25" barrel. Product Code 170184 (B)
I was the only bidder. It comes with everything except the aluminum case which I am looking to find. Once I have it in hand... life will be good again!! Even w/o it life is good.!!

More pics wen I actually have it.

Hahaha well whoever owns your former pistol ain’t got NO RIGHTS to your image, you still own that! I think it’s pretty wild that you found another that is only four units from the one you formerly had.

I wonder what you intend to do with this pistol, if you don’t mind me saying? Here is why I ask... because if you plan to shoot and enjoy this one or perhaps even carry it, I would argue seriously against chasing down the original PC case.

What drives me to say this?! Simply, it’s the market for the PC case that has given me this opinion. Elite handguns are one thing, these small machines are fantastic, nearly works of art. The original PC case is, in my hands-on opinion, cheap and lousy chinese junk. If we could somehow get a magic answer, my guess is that when buying in volume, I’ll bet S&W barely paid $20 a piece for these things.

In new and untouched condition, the case looks classy. But don’t touch it. Don’t carry a handgun in it. Don’t put anything near it, because that cheap thing cannot take wear of nearly any sort.

It’s because they are extremely cheap. I understand that guys still love ‘em, partly or even mostly because we love all the original goodies, and I feel that way too. But something inside me curls up and dies when yet another buyer throws down two fifty for one of these cheap things that is only good at “completing the package.”

Bwahaha, this MIGHT be one of those subjects where I am way out in left field and nobody will agree with me, and that’s okay too.

I doubt you will find anyone who would argue with you. I did actually bid on a correct brand new one but all I was willing to spend was $101.00. It sold for $350.00+.

I mistakenly was of the opinion that one of my little PC .45’s “needed” an original case. You know, just to have the whole package. Even though those cases have no label and without the original outer shipping box it still wouldn’t be true. I’m glad I didn’t waste that $101.00.

I am not going to chase an aluminum case. I bought this guy to shoot and carry. If I come across one at a reasonable price $100-$150 I'll spring for it. (Only because it helps resale if and when I sell it.) Those that know me know that the likely hood of me selling a gun I buy are pretty high. I get bored easily. But if I don't find one at a reasonable price then so be it. Other wise I will just use one of my many $10 pistol cases I already own. I will spend some money on more mags though.

My 945-1 came with the rug , I'm thinking it's one of the last made . Truth is , I'd rather have that than a case , at least for that one . My collectors have the case and one even has the shipping container . But for shooters , unless it comes with one , they just aren't needed . Of course if one comes up at a decent price .......
