5906 PC/Target Champ extended mag plate
Hi,
I'm looking at a 5906 Target Champion but can't find anything on the magazines or an extended bumper. I assume I can use my other 5906 mags and push them up inside the funnel with a finger but I'd like to get the bumpers or bumper mags that fit properly. Is there a new source or are they only on the used market if you can find one? Searched GB and was unsuccessful. Thanks!

Regular base 5906 magazines work perfectly well, you will just be a little handicapped if you try to do high speed mag changes as a competition shooter might.
The original larger speed base plate was an aftermarket product that the PC used. It says “CP Bullets” on it.

These have become or maybe always were hard to find. I have never seen a source for the bumpers in the last ten years. I have seen mags with the bumpers come up on the used market rarely. Best source is to buy a pistol that comes with a lot of extra mags and share them between your PC mag funnel autos IMHO.

Later on I'll post pics here for anyone wanting to see what they look like!
Retired from PPC 15 years ago. I also have a competition Safariland holster for the PPC-9!

There were a couple particular websites, Speed shooter specialties, or something like that and Denny's shooters supply that carried them and alot of other stuff for 3rd gen S/Ws , and P/C guns. Dont know if either are open. I still have bomar sights for 3rd gen S/Ws from Denny's (some where.

Well since everything is going for stupid money these days I guess I won't buy a Target Champion any time soon. I was hoping to get one to go with my stock 5906, and models 39 and 52 but it's too crazy. Thanks for the responses and PMs.

It’s a good thing you can dye them. Those ape **** green ones look like they would only be useful for a Zombie Apocalypse!
Did you happen to notice whether they have them for single stack mags as well?

helloooo Froggie...
I also like them black better, but I imagine that some people like to mark different magazines for different purposes: green for zombie killers, red for werewolf's ,etc...
However, no; I haven't seen them for single stack in 9mm...but perhaps there are some out there...
I always wanted some of these for my 5906's ...and...I "found" some and bought the lot...

If you were competing, the bright color makes them easy to find on the ground after you’ve shot a stage.

Good to hear from you again, old buddy. I thought maybe you’d gotten busy with your new mill and forgotten your friends. Do you have any new projects in progress? Pictures pictures pictures!
