Default S&W model 41 accessories

I have these barrel weights, and have read there are two types that were sold. The first type and the second release. What differentiates the two?
I also have the oversized trigger guard, was there only one type made?
The bluing is actually a very deep rich blue, my lighting washes out the rich blue.
I would also like to know what they might sell for. One collector has told me the value of the weights for the second release.

I can only speak to the Olympic Barrel Weights
Here is a link to an excellent post describing the differences in Olympic Barrel Weights. I've not seen an Olympic Weight box with those graphics before. Very interesting. I have a few sets showing the different styles of boxes.
Model 41 Olympic Weight Set.

The trigger and weights came with a 1959 dated model 41 pistol, purchased in the late 1980's from the original owner. The inside lid of the box has directions for use of S&W handcuffs.
I believe it is the older set of weights.

The weights were available with the upper section in steel or aluminum to give the owner a wider weight range to suit his preference. The box is correct for 1959 as it has the solid border line and is not marked with “A Bangor Puna Company” that acquired S&W in 1965.

Anyone that can expand my knowledge of the model 41 will be greatly appreciated.

I have not felt the need to use a mag loader on 41 magazines. The springs are fairly soft and the button on the follower is easy to grip.

I agree Jeff, those little buttons really dig into my fingers and having been a mechanic for 30 years, my fingers ain't dainty. I use the HillJak loader for my model 41.
