Default Cs9

Stopped by a lgs store today, and found something interesting. Had went to all of my locals this past Saturday and almost everything was bare. Found this and was thinking might not be a bad little purchase. I put it in law away, they let me have it for 430 out the door. What do you all think?

That was a good price prior to the craziness.

Good price for sure. Even down in Louisiana where 3rd Gen prices tend to be lower than some other places, that's a good price.

Great pistol and a good price too. Congrats!

We look forward to your range report and shooting impressions of that fine nine. Enjoy it! Regards 18DAI

A veery wise purchase . How many mags did you get with it ? Midway used to carry them , but it looks like that dried up . They come up for sale here once in a while . Now you just have to find a CS40 and 45 .

Think you made a wise decision. Never see one up my way for any price. Sure have become a favorite among collectors and concealed carry folks. Fair price for these days. Gun looks to be in very good condition too. Had mine since 99 in stainless. Good luck with it.

Good Price for a great compact handgun, The CS9 is way more accurate than anything that size has a right to be, and they don't make them like that no more. And a good pocket carry for larger folks. The problem is, if you do not already have them, you will soon start unconsciously searching for the CS40 and/or CS45. Resistance is futile. Enjoy.

I just bought a stainless cs9 for 400, plus shipping and my dealers transfer fee. It is 98%. It came with good glowing night sites, and 4 total magazines. I added a single sided cut down safety from a 469, a cut down slide release from a 3913, and a flat steel magazine base from a Kahr, all for pocket carry. I have a TercGen grip on order. I will add some skaters tape to the slick front of the grip. I had to sand down all my 7 round cs9 plastic magazine bases just a bit on the top, because they were hitting the bottom of the frame. I had to slam them in to get the magazine to seat. That is now fixed. The flat plastic 3913 bases also work very well for me, with my hands. I had a few of them. And I have a good number of 3906 mags for backup carry. I found 2 recoil springs at Midway. All in all I am a very happy camper. This was the one, third generation 9mm that I did not have. I am thrilled to join the cs9 club, I should have done it years ago!

So that’s what a EKW prefix CS9 is supposed to look like? Wow nice pistol. When I got mine, (another EKW prefix,) it sure didn’t look like that. Fortunately it was/is perfect inside but nothing like that one on outside. It hasn’t gotten any better looking externally over the years either.

Great pistol and a good price. Don’t be scared off on the replies you’ll get about the high price of magazines. They are out there and can still be found for reasonable prices. Sometimes the pre-railed 3913TSW magazines are mistakenly offered as CS9 ones and can also work.

I’m sure you are aware of all “our” suggestions and options for replacement grips if you decide you aren’t happy with the factory ones.

Jim

I use the 7 round 3913TSW mags that 4T5GUY suggests. The flat rounded baseplate makes the CS9 fit my hand better.

Well....fit better when combined with a TercGen grip.

I liked my black CS9 so well, that I picked up a stainless version which is the one I use regularly. The black one is in storage and kept in nice condition. Sometime, down the road, I will see if BMCM can install the smaller Big Dot sights on the black one. Make it a real slick up close and personal pistol. Regards 18DAI
