Default Model 41 Springs

Hello All !
After months of work on a total restoration of my Grandads Model 41, I'm finally re-assembling the frame but having issues understanding the sear spring tension(no photo, illustrations found) and the pawl spring placement. In photos I've seen on the maintenance page the spring just seems to spin free. Shouldn't the pawl spring hold the pawl in position for the barrel ? Where does it rest ? Thanks
