Default S&W Model 46 5 inch

I have a S&W Model 46 .22 LR with 5 inch barrel, 2 magazines ,wood grips serial 276xx, 98% finish, like new bore with both lands and grooves shiny and bright. Would like to know year of manufacture and what it is worth today, I don't want to sell as it is a great shooter, puts less than 2 inch group at 25 yards.

Default 46 value

Hello,
model 41 collectors are a different bunch, me included, but knowing that there were About 4000 units were made in total: 2500 with a 7-inch (180 mm) barrel, 1000 with 5-inch (130 mm) barrels, and 500 with 5 1⁄2-inch (140 mm) barrels. Considering the number of model 41s that were made, this should make the model 46 equally valuable, it seems if you own the 5 1/2 HB its value would be higher than the other 2 seeing how there were so many more of the 7 inch models made. So now onto the value, in mint condition, including the box, and original paper work, my guess is in the 12-1300.00 range. It could go higher as I have seen prices on all variants going up and down for sometime. The only difference from the 46 to the 41 is purely cosmetic, other than the lack of an adjustable trigger, and the cocking indicator, the serrations under the back of the barrel and slide could also be included. There was no difference in accuracy, or quality.
