And any one else who wants to hijack, lojack, binge plant or talk of the weather.
Bwahahahahahahahaha.
Anyway, I looked up your query on north of theblack line availability of briley barrels, and I can find long gun referral info but not handguns, I'll call my gunny tomorrow.
I had my 39-2 rebarreled years ago also, I get a lot of comments on WHY, I just tell them living in this rathole I have no gun rights, and dats dat.

Default What I did.

Green frog mentioned the single stack prices after I asked about the 5906. That brings up your query on kanadianization of the 39 and 59 for me, up here we are not "allowed" to have guns with barrels 4 inches and shorter, why? Well that would be political and I hate politicians so I would be banned and after 17 years I don't want to be banned.
But suffice to say we can't have 4 or smaller BUT we can have the same gun with a made for it briley barrel sized out to 4 1/8" and that is then perfectly fine, stupid is as stupid does, to have the stock saw 9 you have to be grandfathered with 12-6 category, but you can't shoot it, use it, or take it out of the safe, the change then puts the gun in a classification of restricted rather than prohibited, don't you just love it when someone who is being paid by you tells you that something you have or do is prohibited, gotta love this rathole, NOT.

"If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on Earth. And this idea that government is beholden to the people, that it has no other source of power except to sovereign people, is still the newest and most unique idea in all the long history of man's relation to man". Ronald Reagan-1964. This is even more meaningful today.

I guess this answers my earlier question about what "kanadianize" means (sigh). This should probably be in the lounge so I can add my rant in comfort!

I’m watching this thread with interest... just to have a source of quality replacement barrels would be attractive to me, at least. Thanks, dasnake!

This is why Ruger revolvers can come with a 4.2" barrel. They don't currently make a 4". I think the limit is 108mm or longer.

Its pretty easy to spot a TV show or movie shot in Canada because they all seem to have Beretta 92/96 FS or full sized S&W 3rd gens. Sometimes full sized Glocks. Very little variety in handguns. All large.
