Default Model 469 picked up today

Hey,
I picked up a mint condition model 469 today from the LGS. She's in primo condition with a s/n A873XXX. I would assume I will have to call Smith & Wesson to figure out when it was born though. I haven't shot yet but look forward to putting a couple of rounds through her but not getting tooooo crazy since ammo is a bit difficult to find.

She came with three magazines which was really nice but it didn't come with the original box.

Here's a photograph of her. Not the best and she really looks nice in person.

Thanks, I have had many of the series three pistols and traded them off. This one looked so nice I decided to pick her up. I paid $375 for it without the original box and three magazines.

I have had several of these wonderful shorty's over the years and they have all been VERY reliable. I have since stopped trading or selling my firearms because it's just a vicious circle lol. Now I keep em.

I gave mine to my grandson with two 12 round magazines, three 15 round magazines with grip collars, and 1 one 20 round magazine, all loaded. He was a happy camper!

I bet he was!!

The other shorty's that I had I used for backup and off duty carry while I was a LEO. I retired in July of 2019 and have been a United Methodist Church pastor for three churches since then.

Thank you for the conversation! I'll check back tomorrow.

Thank you jimbo728! It has been a rough road for all of us going through this pandemic. Gun and ammo prices going nuts and all the while wondering why? My official position is no one knows why and we won't because we walk in faith in God knowing He has it all in his hands. If we knew "why" all of the time we probably wouldn't want to get out of bed. lol

Very nice pick! FYI, S&W does not provide a date of manufacture, only the date it was shipped from the factory.
