My wife saw one and now has to have one of her own.

My local dealer said it is no longer in production and a call to S&W confirmed this.

How hard are they to find used and what can I expect to pay for one?

They were made from 1990 till a few years ago. There was also the 3913NL with the same frame but without the logo or grey grips. The 3913 series guns are hard to come by because everyone loves them. If you do run across one on Gunbroker, Auction Arms or Gunsamerica you are going to see around $500.

FWIW:

I bought my NIB 3913LS last year from CDNN. ($399.99).

My 3913LS was made 2/08.

You might give them a call from time to time as their inventory changes by the minute..

At the time I bought my 3913LS I had checked the online sites (www.gunsamerica, auctionarms, etc)and there were a couple for sale there, but generally used. As the other gentleman said you should also consider the 3913NL (no logo) and the standard 3913. THE NL is the very same pistol as the LS (even visually) while the standard 3913 is the same pistol with the straight "dustcover" (lower frame appearance) or whatever it's called. All models offer the same functionality.

Best Wishes,

Jesse

P.S. I would sell you mine, as I prefer my CS9, but my wife won't let me... She loves it.

Ma:

****, I thought paying $399.99 for my NIB LS was kinda stiff considering it only came with one mag..

I "feels" better now..

Jesse
