New To Me S&W 5906 Super 9
Over the years I’ve struggled whether to purchase a S&W 5996 Super 9. I met someone locally that had one for sale and finally decided to purchase a Super 9! What about these Super 9’s should I need to know? It does have all 3 barrels for it as well!
Cheers!!!
David

What you need to know is that you need to sell it to me! Seriously you purchased a beautiful pistol. I'll let the experts tell you the facts about that fine 5906.

Awesome find!
You're calling it a "5906 Super 9" but going by what skjos has in his thread, " The Complete 3rd Gen Model List", the frame markings & SN# place it as a "Super 9" that was (likely?) sold without any of the optional caliber/barrel(s) offered with the Super 9, right?
Is the "A/S" on the label just a backwards way of denoting the single action it has or something else?
The "9008" is Jan 08, 1999 & would also match the data too.

Congratulations on a nice find
You could always add the 356TSW barrel to your auto loader. Those are readily available. That would be a significant step upward in power
A 9x21 barrel would be a special order. However the 9x21 just gives you the European non-military version of the 9MM Parabellum.

Unfortunately… you cannot. As the Super 9 isn’t a Performance Center pistol and does not use the Briley titanium spherical bushing, these pistols use a barrel just like a production 5906 except one inch longer. I know of no source for these barrels.
If I am mistaken, that would be excellent, I’d love to hear where these barrels can be found!

MidwayUSA used to have Super 9 barrels, I almost ordered the 356TSW and 9x21 for my Super 9, but decided to put the funds toward other things (my pistol is a domestic version that only delivered with the 9x19mm barrel). The 9x21mm is still on their site, but is listed as "Out of Stock, No Backorder".
You can find more Super 9 information here: 5906 "Super 9" Information
Welcome to the club.

I thought also the only 356TSW barrels were the PC straight Briley
Barrels?

You are right, I was thinking of the straight barrels when I typed this
However, there is no reason why a barrel maker could not produce one for you. Just because it is not listed on their website does not mean they won't put one in the production schedule for you.

No JT,
The SUPER 9s all used the production barrel profile. If you look at some of the photos in that Super 9 thread you will see it

Apparently it does stand for Single Action Only, per this page from the 2004 S&W Catalog
