That silver rail attachment is really cool looking. I love rails. I’m gonna mount rails on my rails so I can rail while I rail.
I’m starting to become a fan of hanging as much stuff on my pistols as possible. I have a CHiP 4006TSW that I just set up with the Optima plate that Guzzitco uses and a Holosun 407k red dot and a pistol light on the rail. It’s really cool and every bit as functional as newer designs. We’ll drag these boat anchors into the 21st century yet!

Well the dust cover had to be drilled and tapped, BMCM made a post about it in the Smithing sub forum

I still remember when my department gave the okay for WML's, it was like walking out of the Dark Ages. My carry gun has a WML as well as my home defense gun. No way would I go back to a naked gun. You have stacked the deck against yourself without a WML.

Very true...
I can't help but wonder if those that disparage WMLs are untrained in their use. Going from no WML to having them on my duty weapon was a huge advantage. Using them while searching and then being on the receiving end of them while playing the bad guy showed me just how effective they can be when used properly. It's nothing like they show on TV. Of course you still need a tertiary light, but WMLs are so helpful when you are searching and have the legitimate need/justification to have your weapon out and pointed at everything you're lighting up.
Quick flash and move, while whoever is downrange is seeing nothing but spots while they hear you moving... ...It's a bit disconcerting...

A lot of people here don't like rails on guns and I can understand why but I think the integral railed S&Ws look very clean, a real shame they only moved to them for the last few years of LE production. Here's my Fresno 4566, I'd use it a an HD gun if it wasn't a pseudo-collector's item and range toy in my eyes.

The dustcover around the rail on the WVSP gun looks a bit beefier than on the Fresno gun. I wonder what the rationale there was, the WVSP guns came after so I wonder if the 4566 was reinforced around there because of an issue on the earlier ones or just because.
