My latest, a nickel 39-2. She needs new grip screws, and new ones appear to be unavailable, but I just found a local plating shop who says he can do these.

Hey wlp, just a suggestion, you could always polish some later 639 type ss grip screws, they polish up beautifully and would look great against the wood grips, also that is a sweet looking nickel example you have, everytime I run across one the finish is beat to death, great find......

FNG Here.. (Fun New Guy). Found this site looking for info on PC 945's. Started reading and well here I am. After reading some of the posts. Had to go dig out some of my old safe queens.. Caveat: All of these have been carried as a duty / off duty gun during my 30 some years as a LEO... Except for the 945-1 PC... Actually they build 10, my agency bought 5 for issue. 4 were purchased personally by us. I stuffed mine in the safe and it has never been shot... I retired last Dec and my duty gun is sitting in the agency armory.. I just got hired back PT as a Firearms / DT trainer (Now I have a chance to buy it as before I retired I ordered new guns for the tac team guns.. (hehehe)... Not quite sure how to up load photos on this forum... Let see if it works..

Sorry, your 'C' drive doesn't count as "another web site" ) You have to use a web hosting service (they're free) like PhotoBucket or ImageShack.

I dropped him a PM with some basic instructions on how to either attach directly to a message, or use Picasa/Photobucket/imgur to share image URLs.

Just trying to share my computer geekiness for the good of the order.

I am starting to like the all stainless pistols again. Yes, they are heavier but they feel good in the hand and they just feel solid.

Default ViperGeek's S&W Armory

I think it's time to share pictures of my trio of new S&W pistols.

Below are pictures of my 4567, SW1911 Pro, and SD9 VE. The 3rd Gen 4567 started it all with the SW1911 Pro being my latest investment, and the SD9 VE for my wife. We are now officially a Smith & Wesson family.

Enjoy!

Default 1st post!

Howdo! Here are my two S&W's. Work carry B/G 380, and to off set the girly feeling a M&P .45. I have a few more, but they aren't S&W's.

Default Model 645

A very solid, reliable gun, the 645, and a straight shooter.

Default Model 52-A .38 AMU

This is one of a production run of only 87 guns according to the SCSW, and was built specially for the ammunition (.38 AMU, a semi-rimless .38 wadcutter) which was designed by the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit in the early '60s. The contract was never let, hence the small number of guns produced.

Default PC 1911 Doug Koenig

Here's my PC 1911 Doug Koenig Signature model in .38 Super, wearing the original grips, and then a dress pair of Doc's walnut laminates.

Thanks Viper, the extra grips came courtesy of the gentleman who sold the gun to me. He told me they were Uncle Mikes, but that company appears to be out of the grip business now. Try either RAASCO or VZ grips, they make some really sharp looking 1911 grips in various exotic woods and synthetics.

New to me, my first third-gen S&W, the venerable 4006. Eleven years young, with the box it came in.

Well it's not mine. Probably couldn't afford it, but this is the Model 645 that was used by Don Johnson in seasons 3 and 4 of Miami Vice. I've been doing some research on this model and the 745 lately and I keep coming across mentions of the old television show. Thought some might appreciate the photo. I'm one of the administrators over on Internet Movie Firearms Database - Guns in Movies, TV and Video Games and that's where this photo came from.

Very, very cool, but it looks like even Sunny Crocket puts idiot scratches on his guns...

Default my 4506

I have to learn how to run that first shot off the DA trigger!
Born in September, 1989, picked up from an officer at my wife's department. I was happy with the price. Nothing stellar, he was the original owner, had all the papers, etc just not the original box.

Now to find a 3913 (was a fool and let one go a couple years back), 5903 SSV, 4567.....well you get the picture )

Yeah prop guns tend to live a hard life. Here is the Beretta 92F that was used by Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapons I and II and Bruce Willis in the first Die Hard. That particular pistol looks like it's been through a couple wars. It can also be seen on imfdb. This particular Beretta is now on display - it's a museum piece.

Question

Hi guys, I am just getting back into guns after thirtyfive years and really didn't have much background knowledge before purchasing this 5906TSW a few months ago and have been doing some research ever since trying to find a photo of one that matches the one I bought. It doesn't have the equipment rail but two studs below the barrel. I'm thinking the equipment rail was removed and if that is the case I am going to have a talk with the shop I purchased it from. I think I should have been told the gun wasn't complete. Can anyone give me some insight about this particular gun? Thanks for your time.

Not that it's a bad gun, but it's not nearly as costly as her counterpart.

Wheres a good place to get this NcStar Laser/Light that you have on your SW9VE? I've been looking for a good Laser/Light Combo for my Sigma SW9VE 9MM & I Like this NcSTAR Combo. Does it always work properly and is it easy to function while shooting? If you have the Info on a good place to get one I would really appreciate you letting me know so I can get one.

Thanks
