My ninth 3rd Gen: A 1992-vintage 915 that I customized prior to sending back to S&W for a 'Decock-Only' modification and loaded chamber witness hole.

My ninth 3rd Gen: A new-to-me Model 915 (1992). I customized her a bit. As of this writing, she's on her way to Springfield, MASS for the 'Decock-Only' mod and the loaded chamber witness hole.

Re-Worked 4003TSW with Ed Brown Extended Safety and CHP Trigger. All of the blued parts were bead blasted to the "white" to match the gun. I do hate the 'TSW-look'

Gorgeous firearm! Of course, a quick peek at my armory shows that I'm a bit of a two-tone fan (not pictured, my two-tone Wilson Tactical Elite).
Enjoy your beautiful E Series.

I have a picture of the full-size one:
[IMG] 000_0115[1]_edited-2 by john.nikon, on Flickr[/IMG]
I use this one in IDPA. It is a very nice shooting pistol.
The other one with the square guard, straight grips and Novaks has a 6906 slide, barrel and bobbed hammer installed. I haven't gotten around to taking a good photo of this one yet but a soon as I do I'll post it here.

New(to me)6096
I received my 6906 today & I'm pretty happy with it!
It's kind of scary buying used guns on line, but I think
I did okay. It's not the prettiest 3rd Gen I've seen on
this site by any means, but its mine & I think
I'm going to enjoy it. I can't get to the range till next
week, so we'll see. Included(if it works!)are a couple
of pics. One is of the 6906 by itself & the other is with
my M&P40C. It compares very well size wise, & in fact
will fit both my DeSantis pocket holster & my BladeTech
holster.

The 945 was on my short list too, and I guess I got carried away. Left to right, column by column: no dash 5", 4" and 3 3/4". No dash 5", 4" and dash 40 (.40 S&W). Dash-1 5", 3 1/4" and 3 3/ 4". Far right: Dash-1 4".

Not a fancy artistic shot, just a quick one I snapped with the phone camera while I was out yesterday. I had taken the BG.380 and the 910 9mm. I was having a "practice what you carry" day. The 910 belongs to my brother, and I borrowed it because I'm half in the market for 9mm of my own.

I'm not sure what an "Auto" is. Is that the kind where, when you push the thumb piece forward, the cylinder "automatically" falls out to the left? In that case, here are my "Autos".

Here's a photo of my (customized, by me) 4506:
I have mirror-polished the slide, and rounded ALL of the sharp-edges of the pistol (a full "melt"). I cut-off the "hook" from the trigger-guard, and nicely blended it. I have also given it a full "trigger-job".
The only change in what you see in the photo is that I replaced the Hogue Handall grip with a Pachmayr slip-on grip with fingergrooves, as it is flatter than the Hogue Handall slip-on grips. It still wears the full Hogue grip underneath...(And yes, it WAS a bitch to "slide" the rubber grip over the rubber grip...Don't try this at home...LOL...).
