It's been getting warmer out so I pressed this into service. I swapped the sights for Trijicon SA08s, did a detail strip and clean and removed the magazine disconnect. The mag it came with kept double feeding, so that one has been put away, but the two 12rders that I bought seem to be working just fine. About 300rds (200 124gr NATO and 100 Federal HST 124gr) and she ran like a top. The hammer spring and polish of the drawbar is next on the agenda.

My babies.
I just picked up the 6906 a couple weeks ago, working on fixing her up, but she's already a nice shooter. I know this is the semi board, but I love my revolvers, too. And my long guns.

I sent mine to S&W Performance Center who did a complete overhaul of my 6906 inside and out. Going to send my 4506 when I get back from TDY

Here is my latest acquisition, a low rounds 2206 in really good condition.
Really happy with it.
I had a little extraction problem with it when I got it and shot it after a fast cleaning and inspection but after a deep and proper cleaning, it has been flawless!
That will give a good deserved rest to my Victory as well.

The 5926, 4013 TSW, and 1006. All I need is a 1076 and one of those CHP 4006 TSWs and I'll be set. And maybe a 4566 too.

My .45 S&W’s, (at least for now.)
I’ve posted this picture before in the “other” section but it really belongs here I suppose. These are my S&W .45’s.
I’m about there but who knows?
Thanks for looking.

I gave this Model 469 and a holster to my grandson after he had issues finding a decent CCW holster for his Makarov after Oklahoma adopted "Constitutional Carry."

Here's my one and only 3rd Gen S&W Auto.
The S&W 4006TSW CHP model. Only about 10,000 of these were ever made as part of a special order by the California Highway Patrol to Smith & Wesson, years after the 4006TSW had been discontinued on the civilian market.
My example shows a bit of external finish wear, but internally it's like new, which clearly indicates that while it was carried often, it was shot very little. The gun came shipped in a factory blue clamshell case which was not original to the firearm, (they were reportedly originally shipped to the CHP in cardboard boxes) and the grips have been replaced with brand new Hogue rubber grips, meaning the original grips were most likely broken. I've been debating on whether or not to replace the Hogues with a nice pair of KSD Rosewood Grips, but they're expensive and require a grip pin which wasn't included with mine since the Hogues are secured by screws.
Overall, I'm very impressed by just how tanky the 4006TSW CHP is. The gun is big, beefy, and heavy, but considering that I purchased this as a range gun, that's a good thing because it should soak up recoil of .40 S&W nicely and outlast me at the range.

This is a fairly early production model M&P .40 and it’s been absolutely reliable right out of the box.
Although there appears to be a key lock in the frame there is none, but when it was manufactured all M&P frames had the provisions for the internal lock.
Model 61-2 Escort circa 1972, and despite a checkered reputation for reliability, this one runs great on CCI Mini Mags.
They should have kept making them IMO.

Model 39-2
Just picked up this little cutie. I remember when they came out back in the late 70's. A friend of mine got one and we went to shoot it. Cool little gun. Then he got the model 59. Even cooler. I cant remember all the ones I have or had. But, I also just got a model 41 .22 and 4013TSW, 6906, 4506, 6946, .22 Victory, and lots and lots of revolvers.

S&W Semi-Auto Picture Thread
Scored my first 1st Gen, a Model 39-2. My photo skills don't do the pistol justice. Overall condition is probably 90%.

Both of these are Club Guns. The Model 41 is a Tool Room gun that was a gift to an employee. The 39-2 was given to Wally Beinfeld.

Figured the S&W 645 would be the right gun for this election. An American made .45 for the 45th President.

Picked up a MINTY 3953DAO
Memphis Police trade-in, looks like it spent its career on the shelf. Almost zero wear.

My Third Gen collection I've picked up here in Australia. Not many survived the 2003 Handgun Buyback when the laws changed on keeping handguns with barrels under 100mm and calibres over .38 special/.357mag on a typical Cat H Target License.
