Model 6906 Markings
I have a 6906 dated November 2006. On the right hand of the pistol (slide, barrel and frame) is “A 1395”. Can anyone help me figuring out what this letter and number signify? Thank you in advance for your help

It's a LEA property/inventory number of some type, possibly a Corrections Dept.-issued pistol.
I have a 6906 with 'AO XXXX' etched in the same three locations as yours. Turned out to be from a corrections facility in CA.

I've owned and carried numerous S&W 3rd Gens (and a 745) but have wound up letting them all go over the years.
I sold my 4506 (one of my former duty guns) to my dad maybe 16 - 18 years ago, and had forgotten all about it. While I was over visiting at Easter, I asked if he still had it...and luckily he did. I finally cajoled him into selling it back to me...

The seventh day is a day of rest for a reason. The guys that made such masterpieces like these needed a day to rest. 😉

Original style roll marked slide. Melonite finish. I just had Tooltech replace the night sights.

Here’s my 5906 5” Target Champion P.C. “wischo” edition. Bought it about 4 months ago from an older gentleman who claimed the gun fired less than 1000 (factory) rounds. I have no reason to doubt him, the gun is spotless. It came with the original Performance Center aluminum case. At the moment i’m on the lookout for some recoilsprings, so if someone can set me on the right track, i’d be very grateful.
The knife is made by a friend of mine, forged 1095, clay hardened Hamon, birdseye maple wooden grip.

Guido, that is certainly a nice pistol but that knife is a serious eye catcher.

Model 659 in Near Mint Condition
Hey folks, I have S&W Model 659 in near mint condition. I am considering selling and am wondering what it might be worth. Purchased in 1982 or 1983. 2 original mags, manual and a box. Appreciate any feedback!

This thread needs some new pics for the new year, so here's one that I just took today featuring my California Highway Patrol 4006TSW.

Two third gens that Guzzitaco worked on. The 457 on the left got a freshening up of the 4516 slide that it wears. The 6946 on the right, got his now famous PC cuts!
Now they look as good as they shoot!

My newly acquired 3906 with my 909, which I got off the for sale here at a very good price about a year and a half ago.

4013TSW and 4043. Love these pistols.

Here’s a PD trade-in 5906 that I recently acquired. It is in excellent condition for its age (1993). Very minor cosmetic issues, but the mechanics are flawless.

My first S&W pistol, S&W 41 built 1969. Unfortunately the pre-owner seems to have quite sweaty hands and didn't oil the gun properly.
The Buckmark belongs to my wife.

Update to #1915 above. I gave the SD9 to my grandson after I bought this M&P9 2.0 5" FDE w/ambidextrous manual safety. This is one of my EDCs.

Here is my 5906 PC 6 in. Purchased used with a little wear I decided I wanted a custom 5906, something never seen before however that idea was quickly forgotten as there were so many unknowns. Instead guzzitaco refinished and cleaned her up and installed a red dot. He did amazing work and I could not be happier. I was concerned that the red dot would be too high, I had wanted one that was as low as possible but that can not be done without milling the slide. I was not willing to do this as I did not want to lose value and desecrating the slide. As it turns out the red dot sits pretty decent on the slide, I think it would look a little better if the mount transitioned a little better from the slide to the red dot but overall it is very nice. Has anyone else put a red dot on a 5906 3rd Gen SW? Also there are no alterations needed to the slide for the red dot mount, just remove the rear sight.
I still want to do a custom 5906 PC, I wanted to do a black mirror finish but the cost is pretty high and I don't know what it would look like when it was finished, examples on the internet are not the greatest.
Anyway again I would like to thank guzzitaco, without his help this project never would have gotten finished.

Plastic: yes. Fantastic: also yes
So far all of mine are plastic, but they have served me well. Not sure how clear the pictures are, so in the one with all four its: M&P10MM, M&P40, M&P SHIELD40PC(CURRENTLY .357SIG), M&P SHIELD45.

CSX...nice pistol...
Model 41...most accurate .22 I own...
Model 4046. The only reason I have this pistol is because I was issued a 4046 when a LEO before retirement. I considered this Smith's "Boat Anchor" model...no one really liked them. I preferred my previous Model 64 revolver to this.
