So far all of mine are plastic, but they have served me well. Not sure how clear the pictures are, so in the one with all four its: M&P10MM, M&P40, M&P SHIELD40PC(CURRENTLY .357SIG), M&P SHIELD45.
Model 4046. The only reason I have this pistol is because I was issued a 4046 when a LEO before retirement. I considered this Smith's "Boat Anchor" model...no one really liked them. I preferred my previous Model 64 revolver to this.
And the gun really enjoys these Hornady Subsonic rounds.
I have been using it as a weak side BUG.
Today I am wearing it strong side in a Desantis Speed Scabbard.
I have a .44 Bulldog in crossdraw as backup in a Gould and Goodrich IWB revolver holster.
A bottle cap is a simple and almost free thumb/finger saver to use when loading mags. The photos will make the operation self explanatory. Just make sure that the cap is small enough that is doesn't hit the bottom plate when the spring is fully compressed.
