Default 1006 10MM magazines

My son has a 1006 and I was looking at buying him a magazine or two.

Man, those things are expensive! eBay is like 130-140.00 range.

Anyway, looking at them for sale, I noticed that there are a couple different style of followers in them.

One style the top is flat back to front, then there is another style which runs flat from the back, then takes an angle down at the front.

Anyone know anything about this, like why the revision, which style is better?

Both of these had yellow followers, then there was one that had a white follower in the back to front flat style.

Any info is appreciated.

Later more desirable ones are the white ones with ES1 or MS1 on front edge and even better if AccuGlide on side.

I also have one yellow follower in a mag marked ES (not ES1) on front.

I believe the white follower can be used in mags originally with yellow followers but there may also be subtle changes in metal geometry as there were in the 4506 and 4516 mags.

If you're looking to pay $130 each, there are a couple NIB in the classifieds.

WTS: Factory Magazines - 1006, 4013, 4013TSW, CS40, 6906 Lots, 59 and 659 Lots

I have a 1006 and 1076 and use mags with yellow and white followers in both. Can't tell the difference. Both reliable.

I have a 1006 with five magazines- three white flat follower, one yellow flat follower and one yellow angled follower. The white ones see limited range time, and are used for limited function checks and all "duty" applications. The yellow ones are used for almost all range time, and are not babied. I have never experienced a failure with any of them.

I upgraded my Model 1006 magazines with the white followers and new Wolff magazine springs. A couple of them also had beat up floorplates and those were easily and inexpensively replaced as well. Here are the different types, other than the rare extended (FBI ?) model magazine.

Is that offer open to anybody else? I don't wish to be rude, but I just lucked into a 1026 and need ways to feed it and food for it.
