Default Model 59 Wonder Nine

Stopped by LGS for MBUS for my M&P 15 and seen model 59 and box bottom of display case . Gun is good shape but needed to be cleaned and lubed . I cleaned it up old school with Hoppes 9 , Rem Oi land lubed with LSA. I don't like the Pachmayrs plus worn on one side ordered a set Uncle Mikes from eBay. Also plan to refurbish the grips screws maybe new ones later. I don't know anything about the rear sights, seen pictures on archived Guns America Ad.

Looks like a winner, and that's a factory adjustable rear sight. Good pickup.

I carried one back in the 70's as a duty weapon. Never had any problems, 100% reliable, and I was able to shoot Expert/Master with it.

Looks decent. Hope you got it for a good price. Had one for a while in the late 70s. Came with the synthetic or plastic grips originally. Fed and ejected with no issues. Pretty sure it ran me under $170 or close to it. Unfortunately another I let go looking for the "perfect handgun" LOL

Looks like you got a good shooter plus the box. Someone swapped out the windage adjustable rear sight for the S&W fully adjustable sight and the correct stocks would be S&W black plastic stocks. The Uncle Mike's will feel a lot better than and provide a more secure grip than the factory stocks.
