Default Questions Anout Values of My Model 645 & 4046

Cleaning out my safe toi raise funds for a new project. Going to sell 2 of my S&W pistols my 645 .45acp and my 4046 .40WIN. I have owned them for longer than I can remember. Both or in pristine condition with the factory boxes. The 645 has a 5" polished stainless steel barrel and one mag and the 4046 has a 4" stainless barrel with 3 mags and an extra set of grips. I checked Gunbroker.com and Armslist.com but prices all all over the place.Would love to have some input from real S&W fans. Thanks in advance.
Mike

Hard to say without pics. Ballpark unseen guess would be $500-$700.

Pics are a must.

Having the original boxes are a plus.

Pictures a must as above - but be aware the 4046 market is flooded right now with Brinks trade ins. Range of sales is $300 +/- but most of these are well used and look like it.

Your advantage is having original docs and, presuming its condition is very good, being an individual rather than a company that issues weapons on a daily basis and may not pay a lot of attention to keeping them clean and in good condition.

Also be aware AIM had a batch of unmarked 4006 trade ins that looked better than the Brinks 4046s and were going for $399 and 11 rd mags for $17(?)

There have been several on big auction site at or above $500 that have been there for a while with little interest.

Again you have the advantage if you list here as big auction site typically adds about $100 in shipping and taxes and fees.

My best guess is upper end for the 4046 with 3 x 11 rd mags and original docs and box (case) would be $500.

Quick sale $450 incl shipping or try at $550 incl shipping and see what happens - but picts incl box end are almost mandatory if you want much response.

Best, Ed

Cannot remember how to post pictures on this site? I seem to remember that you have to host them somewhere and copy the link. Is that correct?

There are a couple ways of doing it. What I do is click on the paper clip icon in the reply to post field, then choose pictures from my photo library and attach.
