Default S&W 945-40cal purchased today

I purchased this S&W 945-40cal today. Only 161 produced! I have several S&W 945’s and S&W 945-1’s. Excited to add this one to the collection! Came with 5 mags as well!

Cheers!!!

Good to hear!

Now, if you really wanna make folks drool, have your ‘smith ream-out that .40 barrel to 10mm-specs and re-spring the gun.

Then you’ll have the ultimate 10mm Pocket Rocket.

Another tasty acquisition Dave. Was it an impulse or a sought after one for you?

I’m finally getting to “know” my 3.25” UCF 945-1. I like most things about it but I don’t like the extended mag release. It just sticks out to far for me. Even though I can’t make it happen it just seems that the mag will at some time be dumped while drawing or re-holstering. Just a little pressure on it and the mag drops. (Maybe an adjustment is needed?) I’d like to know if yours is the same.

Not totally on board with the extended safety either on a CCW intended .45. (.40.) Don’t get me wrong, these little 945 platform pistols are amazing. They are still below cost but above quality of offerings made today. Oh and they’re S&W PC’s.

Jim

That’s definitely a rare one there!

I’ve said this numerous times but boy I would have absolutely loved it had the Performance Center also made a full 5-inch target 945 chambered in .40 S&W. I’d most definitely have one of them.

Guess I’ll simply be forced to settle with my 4006 Limited!

Hey Jim

Hope all is well on your end! Thanks for the nice comments! I came across the 945-40 on an auction site. Emailed the guy and purchased it outside of the auction site. Like you, I do enjoy my 945-1 as well!

Cheers!!!
David
