I sent my M&P 40 slide to Novak for Fiber-Optic sight installation. It went out on a Friday, came home from work Wensday it was back, looked good! I ran out to the garage to put it on the reciever, Whoops! it would not go on. I got to looking and the stiker safety stop was frozen in place would not move down at all. I finally got the striker out of it, it now goes half way down but slide in inoperable. I sent it right back to them. I was wondering if anyone else has had any experiance with Novak. I have a 1911 pro series which came with the adjustable fiber optic site, liked it, thought I would go with it on the MP........

I have had two 1911s worked on by Novaks. Their workmanship and customer service was excellent.

Have you called them?

I have not called, I worked over all week last week they were closed by the time I got home. I handled it by email. I'm sure they will take care of it just fine. It was just disappointing that they would not verify the striker safety button was operable. The only thing I can think of was they turned the spring cap upside down under the new sight during replacement since the rear sight is what captivates the safety block spring, whick has a cap over the end separating it from the bottom of the sight. Thats the only thing it seems could limit the striker safety blocks travel to about half of normal. I hope they reimburse me for the shipping cost of all this.
