I purchased a Model 41 some days ago and now want to find out when it was produced.
Maybe some of you experts can help me with some details about the pistol?
The serial number is BMC 30xx.

Was there a box with it that may show the Product Codes? That would narrow it down...

I was told that prefix BDX was a Jan of 2007 date..so I'm guessing yours was sometime after that??

Unfortunately there was no box. Thanks for your help! Maybe someone else can find out some more details.

I wrote an email directly to Smith&Wesson and they answered that the gun was produced in 1993. Thanks to everyone who wanted to help me!
