Default 952-1

Two 952-1’s within 400 numbers of each other, but with very different markings. I’ve seen them described as early and late versions of the 952-1.

I overpaid for one and underpaid for the other, so I guess it worked out.

Such sweet shooters.

After I disassembled and cleaned the first one, I swore I’d never take it down again. Had a heck of a time getting it back together. Getting the barrel back in the bushing was fine, but getting the top end back on took an act of congress and some creative swearing along with a strong friend.

Then the second one came to me very dirty. Grrr. Here we go again. Same issue. Got it back together but it was a project.

I guess they are tightly fitted. Slide racks easily once assembled, it just laughs at you when it’s not.

Or you guys are smarter and have more strength than I do, either one of which is possible.

Anyway, enjoy.

Beautiful guns! I’d love to have one. I’ve heard they are great shooters. Your story sounds like the first 47 times I took my Ruger MK 3 target apart lol!

Nice pistols! I’ve noticed with my 952-2 that you cannot squeeze the grip safety when putting the slide back on.

Understatement of the year. Lol.

I always dreaded the first cleaning of a new 952.

They wear in nicely though. I wouldn't say it ever becomes glock-like on the easy scale but it definitely gets easier.

Also, I didn't realize there were two versions of the 952-1s. Thanks for sharing that.

I once got to shoot a 952-0 without the scabbed on grip safety, just the familiar handle of my M52.
If I had known then what I know now...
Sigh.
