Default 745 SA Grip Choices?

I searched but I haven’t seen an answer.

I am pulling my 745 SA out of the safe and plan to start enjoying it but I am not liking the OEM grips on it. I see there are some hard to find 645/745 grips out there that might fit but they say it won’t due to the oversized safety on the 745 SA. I am sure they could be hacked up to work but that’s not what I am after. I’m kind of at my whit’s end on this.

Anyone know of an aftermarket rubber grip, a nice one like the Pachmayr or wooden ones It would be really nice to have a contoured set like what’s on the model 41. I like the old ones but its always hard to find stuff like this for them.

Thanks,
Jolly

I think grips for a 645 or a 945 will fit and Hogue has wood ones. Check out their web site.

Weel here's the problem I have read. The 745 SA only has an oversized safety so the left grip would have to be modified. Not really an issue but I am hoping for a non-hack job rig. I found a great set of woods for a 645 but honestly if I modify them I think they would not look good. I may go this route though.

Any other thoughts out there?

I have the Hogue wood grips on my 745, there is so little that needs removed it's not much of a problem. I did mine with a sanding drum and a Dremal, but you could do the same withsandpaper and a dowel rod. The Pachmyars' were more of a problem because they have a steel liner that needs ground away.
