Not that I'm aware of Fred...
Third party barrel makers go where the money is.
Glock, 1911, etc...
Tooling up barrels is not cheap, and is a heavy investment, so I dought you could convince anyone to do them for a small number of folks.
I could only imagine it takes hundreds if not more barrels just to get back your investments in tooling. Make since?

Call Irv Stone at Bar-Sto. He can make you what you want. You will just have to wait for it for a while. He is always 3-4 months backlogged.

Please correct me here if I am "misguided" I have looked for a 357 Sig barrell for my HK, USP 40. I have "heard" that their 40 cal breech could not handle the additional pressure of the 357. Thus manufacters don't produe. Does think make sense.

Greatly respect the feed back from Forum member

The 357 Sig and .40 S&W both operate at the same (or close enough to make no difference) breech pressures. The case head size is the same also.

As someone else noted, the barrel makers go where the market/money is. There isn't a large enough market for HK/older S&W conversion barrels to make it worth their while.

We did, several years ago, get a quote from Ba-Sto on making .40 S&W barrels for S&W 1006 pistols. The quote wasn't that bad, can't remember the cost or the minimum number.

I don't think so. I have one for my USP, EFK, shoots fine so far. The pressures of the two carts are pretty dang close.
I know Irv @ Barsto used to make some bbls. I'm up for a group buy for 4006 or 1006 if anyone else wants to play.
I contacted Barsto about a group buy. Since they used to make a bbl. I would think they still have tooling. I'll let you know if they are game.

WR and Fred thanks for the input. I never looked up case pressure on the two rounds. More I think of the hold issue I tend to agree with what has been said here it is merely an economic issue with manufacturer tied to demand and quanity

Thanks again

Ok, I am working on a price w/ Barsto for 357sig bbls. They want a 50 bbl. order, 4006 or 1006, I'm trying to get them to commit to 25 of each. Stay tuned for pricing.
NCP, the 4046 is just a DAO version isn't it?

Correct. The 4046 is just a DAO version of the 4006.
