Guys, when I ordered my two 5906s; I also ordered 10 extra 15 round magazines for them--especially since they may bring back the "10 round" restriction.
Now I'm thinking maybe that I ought to lay in a few more magazines; just to be on the safe side.
Anyway, I see the 30 round magazines sold by Centerfire Systems and Midway; and I wonder if they're worth having...
I don't see them as being particularly useful under all but the most singular defence scenarios...
But I thought they'd be a lot of fun at the range. Now truthfully, as a range toy, they wouldn't have to be anywhere near as reliable as a Serious Social magazine(if the 9mm can ever be thought of as a
Serious Caliber).
Nonetheless, at some level, if they jammed enough, they wouldn't even be much fun on the range--what would be the point of a 30 round magazine that jammed every 7 or 8 shots?
Also, I've settled on the 147 Grain Hollow Points as my carry load--I figure that ought to get the stopping power up into the same general ballpark as some +P .38 Specials...
Or failing that, at least equal to the .32 ACP HP...
Does anyone have any good practice loads--preferably with lead bullets--that would approximate the recoil and trajectory of the 147 Grain Hollow Points?
I've asked that last question several places--but I'm still open to suggestion...
